YogiMe ™ was born through my daily participation in yoga, meditation, and journaling practices.
In Classical Sanskrit, the word yogi and (fem) yogini are derived from “yogin,” which refers to a practitioner of yoga.
Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root word Yuj, which means “to yoke,” “to unite,” “to add,” or “to join.”
To unite is the purpose of yoga and YogiMe ™.
Unite with what?
Unite with everything I was and wasn’t. Unite with who I wanted to be and unite with what I didn't want to be and change it. Unite with Peace like I barely remembered. Unite with clarity, harmony, and my higher Self.
Yoga is not a cult or religion. Yoga is a way of life united with the flow. It is comprised of a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines that originated in ancient India and aims to unite us with our higher Spiritual Self and its guidance. It stills the mind to be grounded and optimize our human beings.
Participating in Yoga and meditation brought me and YogiMe ™ new clarity on how to invent life in the moment and the wisdom of what being self-aware can be. For me, and I hope for you, it’s yielding a happier, less resistant, harmonious life in awareness of operating the ever-active, overactive mind!
Being in Yoga cultivated a union between my physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual bodies that I didn’t know I had. Essentially, it helped get me out of my own way!
It showed me that we all have a little yogi or yogini within us, and they are here to encourage us to keep our strength, confidence, and peace everywhere in life when we see them.
Discovering mind, body, and spirit is the journey we have embarked upon. Get out of the muck and mire. We've suffered there long enough. The power is with when we seek we find the key.
Self-awareness is a heightened consciousness and understanding of one's thoughts, emotions, and actions. It involves being in the moment and actively observing oneself without judgment. The power of being in the moment lies in the ability to respond thoughtfully rather than reacting impulsively. This can prevent unthought reactions that may lead to trauma for oneself and others.
When individuals break out of unlearning patterns, they consciously choose not to repeat the same choices as before. This process requires a significant amount of attention and awareness. It involves a commitment to self-reflection and a willingness to question and challenge ingrained beliefs and behaviors.
Yoga and meditation training and development are often seen as effective tools for achieving self-awareness and breaking free from automatic thought patterns. Yoga encourages mindfulness, which is the practice of being fully present in the current moment. Through techniques such as meditation and focused breathing, individuals can cultivate a deep sense of self-awareness and learn to detach from unhelpful thought patterns.
By gaining control over one's thoughts through yoga and other mindfulness practices, individuals can make more conscious and intentional choices. This can lead to personal growth, improved relationships, and a more harmonious existence. The idea is to exist as the best version of oneself, making choices that align with one's values and contribute to a positive and beautiful world.
In essence, the journey of self-awareness and breaking free from unlearning is about taking responsibility for one's thoughts and actions. It's about making choices that align with personal values and contribute positively to the individual and the world at large. As individuals strive to be the best versions of themselves, they play a part in making the world a more beautiful place through their conscious and intentional existence.
